Biography
Schultz has been an artist for as long as he can remember and a full-time practicing artist since March 2007, after voluntary resignation as the Head of Department: Art and Design at the Buffalo City College. Prior to that he was the heading the Department of Fine Art at the College in association with the Port Elizabeth Technikon and the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU), for many years.

Schultz lives with his wife Terry and their children, on their farm on the Kwelera river, outside East London on the East Coast.
It is here where he draws inspiration from the Eastern Cape’s natural environment and creates mixed media artworks, which include drawing, painting, sculpture and recently projection/installation.
He is continually searching for new or contemporary ways of expressing the long tradition of the ‘landscape’ and ‘environmental’ genres in relation to the exploration of the ethereal.
Artist’s such as Anselm Keifer, Chris Drury, Joseph Beuys, Nicholas Lang, Herman DeVries, Richard Long, Andy Goldsworthy and William Kentridge are an inspiration to the artist.
